NueForm provides keyboard shortcuts across two contexts: the form builder (where you design forms) and the form renderer (where respondents fill out forms). Learning these shortcuts can significantly speed up your workflow when building forms and provide a smoother experience for respondents navigating through questions.
On macOS, shortcuts use the Cmd key. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl instead. The shortcuts below show both as Cmd/Ctrl.
These shortcuts are available when working in the NueForm form builder.

- Use Enter to move quickly: In the form renderer, pressing Enter after answering each question is the fastest way to complete a form. For choice-based questions, you can press a letter or number to select and then Enter to confirm and advance.
- Keyboard-first building: When arranging questions in the builder, use the Up/Down Arrow keys to navigate between questions and Enter to start editing, rather than reaching for the mouse each time.
- Quick duplication: When building forms with similar questions, select a question, press Cmd/Ctrl + D to duplicate it, then edit the copy. This is faster than creating questions from scratch.
- Escape to reset: If you accidentally open a panel or start editing a question, press Escape to back out without making changes.
