NueForm

Real-time Collaboration

Collaborate with your team on forms in real time with presence indicators, live editing, and automatic conflict resolution.

NueForm supports real-time collaborative editing, allowing multiple team members to work on the same form simultaneously.

How It Works

When multiple team members open the same form in the builder, NueForm automatically syncs changes in real time using WebSocket connections. Each collaborator sees the others' activity as it happens.

Features

Collaborator Avatars

Active collaborators appear as avatar icons in the builder header. You can see at a glance who else is editing the form.

Question Edit Indicators

When a team member is actively editing a specific question, a colored indicator appears on that question in the sidebar. This helps prevent two people from editing the same question simultaneously.

Collaborative Borders

Questions being edited by others display a colored border in the builder, making it visually clear which parts of the form are currently being modified.

Change Ticker

A real-time notification ticker shows recent changes made by collaborators — such as "Sarah added a new question" or "Alex updated question 3." This keeps everyone aware of what's happening without interrupting their work.

Conflict Resolution

If two collaborators edit the same question simultaneously, NueForm detects the conflict and provides a resolution overlay. You can choose to keep your changes, accept the other person's changes, or manually merge them.

Requirements

  • The form must be shared with team members (via the Teams feature).
  • All collaborators must be signed in to their NueForm accounts.
  • A stable internet connection is needed for real-time sync.

Meilleures pratiques

  1. Divide work clearly. Assign different sections of the form to different team members to minimize conflicts.
  2. Communicate changes. Use the change ticker as a guide, but also communicate major structural changes directly.
  3. Save frequently. Changes sync automatically, but publishing creates a version snapshot that can be reverted if needed.
