NueForm's Text-to-Speech (TTS) feature reads your form questions aloud to respondents using natural-sounding AI voices powered by NueSpeak Apex.
Text-to-Speech is available as a $5/month add-on for Pro and Enterprise plans. Enable it from your billing settings.
How to Enable
- Subscribe to the TTS add-on from Profile > Billing.
- Open your form in the builder.
- Go to Form Settings > Text-to-Speech.
- Toggle Enable Text-to-Speech on.
Voice Selection
Choose from multiple natural-sounding AI voices. The default voice is Rachel — a clear, professional English voice. Browse available voices in the Text-to-Speech settings to find the best fit for your form's tone.
Auto-Play
Toggle Turn on by default to automatically start voice narration when a respondent opens your form. When disabled, respondents can manually activate TTS using a speaker icon.
How It Works
- Audio is generated at publish time for all eligible questions.
- Each question's title and description are converted to speech.
- Audio files are cached and served to respondents instantly.
- A generation status indicator shows progress per question in the settings panel.
Excluded Question Types
TTS audio is not generated for the following question types, as they do not contain respondent-facing text:
- Welcome Screen
- End Screen
- AI Context
- AI Personality
- AI Guardrail
Meilleures pratiques
- Keep question titles concise. Long titles produce longer audio clips that may test respondent patience.
- Use natural language. Write titles as you would speak them — avoid abbreviations and jargon.
- Test before publishing. Preview the form after publishing to hear the generated audio.
- Consider your audience. TTS is particularly valuable for accessibility, surveys targeting visually impaired users, and forms used in hands-free environments.
