NueForm

Credits

How NueForm credits work: what they cost, how to get them, the order they are spent in, auto-buy, gifts, team wallets and the full rate card.

Credits pay for Voice Studio, the Voice API, phone numbers and phone calls. You keep one balance in your Wallet, and every credit in it pays for anything on the rate card below.

A credit is always worth the same: 10,000 credits = $1. A price never changes the value of a credit. If a price ever changes, only the number of credits an action costs changes, so the credits you already have keep their value.

Open your Wallet from the sidebar. It has five tabs: Overview (your balance and recent activity), Get credits, Auto-buy, Gift credits and Rate card. Your plan stays a monthly subscription in dollars, and your bill for it is on the Billing page.

Every button that spends credits shows its cost first, in credits and in dollars. Nothing is charged before you click it.

Getting credits

Credits come from four places:

  • Credit packs. Buy one whenever you like. Bigger packs include bonus credits.
  • Your plan. Pro gets 5,000 credits and Enterprise gets 10,000 credits on the 1st of every month (UTC). They expire at the end of that month.
  • A welcome gift. Free accounts that have never had a paid plan can claim 1,000 credits once, after verifying their email. They expire after 30 days. Pro and Enterprise accounts get their monthly credits instead.
  • Gifts. Someone else can send you a pack (see Gift credits).

$50575,000+15%$0.087
$1001,200,000+20%$0.083

Credits show up in your wallet as soon as your payment is confirmed. Phone numbers, phone calls and API keys need a first credit purchase and a verified email.

How credits are spent

When you spend credits, your balance is used in this order:

  1. Your monthly plan credits.
  2. Welcome credits.
  3. Bonus credits from packs.
  4. Purchased credits, oldest first.

Credits you buy, and the bonus that comes with them, never expire. Monthly and welcome credits do expire, which is why they go first.

Credits are taken at the click that starts the work (Generate, Create voice, Place call), never at the end. Phone calls are charged one minute at a time, as each minute starts.

When you run out

If you do not have enough credits, the button becomes Get credits with the smallest pack that covers the gap already selected, and your action carries on once the payment goes through. Nothing is ever cut off halfway through a clip.

  • Pro and Enterprise phone calls keep going when the balance reaches zero, and the usage appears on your next monthly invoice at list price.
  • Free accounts have no overdraft. A phone number that cannot pay its monthly rent gets a 7-day grace period, then it is released.

Auto-buy

Auto-buy is off until you turn it on. It tops up your wallet with a pack before you run out, so a long call or a big batch never stops.

On the Auto-buy tab you choose:

  • Top up when below: 5,000, 10,000, 25,000 or 50,000 credits, or your own number. The default is 10,000.
  • Pack to buy: any pack. The default is the $10 pack.
  • Monthly limit: $20, $50, $100 or $250, or your own amount. The default is $50. Auto-buy stops when the next top-up would pass it.
  • Email me each time it tops up: on by default.

Only the wallet owner can turn auto-buy on. Auto-buy buys one pack at a time, and it turns itself off after two declined payments in a row and tells you. You can turn it off at any time, and changing the card or the limit asks you to confirm again.

Gift credits

Any pack can be sent as a gift. On the Gift credits tab, pick a pack, enter the recipient's email, your name and an optional message of up to 300 characters, and choose whether it arrives now or on a date. Scheduled gifts are sent at 9:00 AM in your time zone.

The recipient gets an email with a Claim my credits button. They sign in, or create a free NueForm account, and the credits land in their wallet. The message is plain text and cannot contain links.

Gifts are paid for when you buy them. Until it is claimed, you can resend a gift or change the email address it was sent to. Gifts are not refundable.

Team wallets

There is one wallet per billing account. Work done in a team is paid from the team owner's wallet.

  • By default, members spend the owner's included monthly credits. Purchased credits are used only if the owner turns on Let team members use my purchased credits.
  • Each member has a monthly cap while that is on. The default is 50,000 credits, and the owner can change it for the whole team or for one person.
  • Pay for Voice Studio from. In your Wallet you make one choice: My wallet, or one of your teams. It applies to everything you make in Voice Studio — Create, Compare, retakes and edits, the Voice API, MCP, the Studio Apps that make speech, and new voices — and nothing else needs setting. Until you pick a team, your own credits pay.
  • A voice your team pays for belongs to the team. It appears in the team's voices, so only members who can add team voices can make one with the team's credits.
  • If the team can't pay, because its credits ran out, you reached your cap, or you left the team, nothing is charged and you are offered Use my own credits, which switches your choice in one click. Your own credits are never used without asking.

Wherever Voice Studio shows a cost, a small line says whose credits will pay.

Phone numbers and phone calls on a team are always paid by the team owner, whoever places the call. Studio Apps that call or text (Voice Drop, Type-to-Call and Time Capsule) and Voice Banking always use your own credits.

No refunds

Credits you buy do not expire and are not refundable, and spending is not refunded when you cancel, edit or delete something.

There is one exception, and it is automatic. If we fail to deliver, or never did the work, the credits come back on their own and show in Activity as Credited back. Examples are a failed generation (which is never charged in the first place), a call minute that was held but never used, and a Time Capsule message that could not be delivered.

Credits that come back keep the expiry they had. Monthly and welcome credits go back into their month or their 30 days; if that has already ended, they expire again straight away, and Activity shows the credit-back followed by the expiry.

If your card issuer reverses a payment or you dispute it, the credits from that payment are taken back, and the wallet is frozen if they were already spent.

Rate card

This is what everything costs. Prices are in credits, with the dollar value beside them. The rate card is version 1.
